Carl & Judy in Jerusalem

We were thrilled to welcome the Kaiserparents (Judy and Carl) to Jerusalem. We have spent 2 days touring all around town. Here are some highlights from our days.

Saul and Judy in front of Moses Montefiore's windmill. The windmill is in Yamin Moshe, the first neighborhood built outside the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem (c. 1860's).

A big shout-out to Avi and Alex for the awesome wedding gift of matching camelbacks. You can see Saul with his here. Needless to say we have never been as hydrated as these last two days of walking around Jerusalem. Thanks!

Most Recent Visit to the States

We have been very blessed this year that many of our friends have had beautiful healthy babies. On our most recent trip to the states (end of May until beginning of June) we visited our friend Mike and his new baby boy Paul who was born at the beginning of March. Liz's mom joined us for the journey to New Haven, CT.





By chance Saul arrived just in time to share dinner with his parents and Liz's mom and step-dad.

Team Liz Hosts an End of Semester BBQ

The last weekend of the semester (May 20th) we hosted my HUC class for an end of term BBQ. Check out Saul's awesome new apron - thanks Amy!

Valentines Day in Israel

Yes, it is a bit strange to celebrate St. Valentine's Day
with a bunch of rabbinic, cantorial and Jewish
education students in Israel.
However, here's a sweet picture of us from a fun party.

A long weekend in Jordan - October 2005

A forty-five minute hike uphill takes you to the Monastery, which you can see over Liz's shoulder. It looks a lot like the Treasury, so if you're not so into hiking, you can skip this one. We liked the views a lot though.

We have a really beautiful home here in Jerusalem. We live in an area called Abu Tor. One of the most amazing parts of our home is our view. We look out on a valley that goes out towards the Judean desert. Off in the distance is the separation barrier or security fence as some like to call it.
